Be the Magic On-Site!

ROLE: Onsite Event Staff
REPORTS TO: Event Manager / Operations Manager
ROLE TYPE: Hourly / Contractor

At Commonspace Collective, we’re all about bringing people together in unforgettable ways. Whether it’s a rooftop mixology night, a wellness pop-up, or a private birthday bash that feels like a movie scene—we make magic happen through creativity, community, and collaboration.

We work with an incredible roster of creators and clients, from luxury properties like One Chicago and One Bennett Park to brands like Instagram and Kraft Heinz. Now, we’re looking for enthusiastic, outgoing Onsite Event Staff to help bring our experiences to life across the city.

What You’ll Do:

No two events are the same—and that’s what makes this role so fun. You’ll be the smiling face and behind-the-scenes hero making sure every detail comes together on-site.

On the Ground:

  • Show up early, ready to rock—help load in, set up, and style event decor to perfection

  • Manage vendor check-ins and coordinate setup alongside the Event Lead

  • Bartend (when needed—we’ll get you certified!) and help facilitate fun, interactive activities

  • Greet guests, keep the energy up, and be the go-to contact for our clients during the event

  • Snap social-worthy photos and video clips to help us capture the vibe and share the story

  • Assist with teardown, clean-up, and loading out with care and attention to detail

You’re a Great Fit If You:

  • Have a vibrant, welcoming personality and love interacting with people

  • Are calm under pressure, love solving problems, and can think on your feet

  • Have an eye for design, style, and all things Instagram-worthy

  • Are a self-starter who’s always two steps ahead (aka: you pack the extra tape just in case)

  • Are social media-savvy and love capturing the moment

  • Can lift and carry up to 30 lbs and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves

The Details:

  • Hourly Rate: $18–$20/hour (average ~$100 per event, 2–3 events per week)

  • Must be 18+

  • Previous event or hospitality experience a plus

  • Driver’s license and access to a car helpful, not required

  • BASSET certification required for bartending (we’ll cover it!)

  • Must be available evenings/weekends with a flexible schedule

  • Ideal for someone interested in marketing, events, hospitality, or creative industries
